Our amazing daily glass blowing, lathe and flameworking demonstrations are free and run throughout the day.

Experience the heat of our 1000 degree furnace and watch our expert glass making team craft stunning pieces before your eyes. You can even book a place to create your own glass object if you fancy a having a go!

'There was also a free demonstration of glass-blowing. Having seen such demonstrations in Venice and elsewhere I could have given this a miss. Glad I didn’t – the demonstration at the Glass Centre was informative, fascinating and enjoyable, possibly better than those seen in Venice.'

13:00 - Glass Lathe demos scheduled daily (excluding Tuesday's)

15:45 - Flameworking demos (excluding Tuesday's)

Please note - Due to our Blow Your Own Christmas Bauble Workshops there will be no public Hot Glass Blowing Demonstrations on Wednesday's, Saturday's and Sunday's until Christmas Eve. (Specific dates below)

November:

Wednesdays 14, 21, 28

Saturdays 10, 17, 24

Sundays 11, 18, 25

December:

Wednesdays 5, 12, 19

Saturdays 1, 8, 15, 22

Sundays 2, 9, 16, 23

PLEASE NOTE: We try very hard not to alter the times or cancel our Glass Blowing Demonstrations, however very occasionally, due to circumstances beyone our control, we have to cancel them or alter the times. If you are planning a trip, we recommend you check our What's On Calendar on the day of your visit to avoid disappointment.
