Every workshop that we offer for primary schools will cover a number of areas of the curriculum. Glass is an ideal material to approach STEAM subjects, as well as local history and human geography.
Our secondary school workshops take inspiration from our exhibitions programme which showcases artwork exploring concept and technique by leading international artists working in glass.
National Glass Centre is free for groups to visit under their own steam.
Workshops will be running throughout the year for different age groups and will be bookable through our online shop. The content and price of these sessions is exactly the same as those advertised to schools.
We offer bespoke projects for all ages, providing students with the opportunity to make larger pieces of work and gain an in-depth knowledge and experience of glassmaking techniques and equipment.
We are committed to providing arts education to ensure young people have the opportunity to engage positively with the arts as part of their personal development. We can support all levels of Arts Award for part or all of an award and we can work in collaboration with schools and colleges to develop and deliver a project that is relevant and inspiring.
